All of our holiday homes are located in the beautiful seaside town of Eyemouth. There is so much to see and do right on the doorstep. But if you want to adventure further afield, here are some must-see places that are easily accessible.
Eyemouth Harbour
A busy and industrious hub situated at the heart of the attractive cosmopolitan town of Eyemouth. The town of Eyemouth is nestled in the imposing marine landscape of the Berwickshire Coast. The harbour is set in the heart of this enchanting historic town – an active fishing harbour with traditional features completed by 21st century modern facilities.
Berwick Upon Tweed
A short drive away over the boarder with its stunning natural scenery, interwoven with a beautiful built environment. It’s a heritage destination that’s also a cultural centre. You can get stories served with a Northumberland accent, go dolphin watching and visit a micro-brewery in the same afternoon or find cutting edge media arts exhibited in an 18th century house.
Edinburgh
An hour away by car or you can also get a train from Berwick. Visit Edinburgh and discover a city like no other. Steeped in history, Edinburgh seamlessly blends old and new, providing locals with the perfect destination to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of a diverse and vibrant city.
Coldingham
A beautiful historic conservation village in Berwickshire, on southeast Scotland's spectacular coastline. With its award winning beach, stunning local scenery, around a thousand years of local history and numerous visitor attractions it's the ideal destination for a day trip.
St Abbs
St Abbs is a small, picturesque fishing village situated at the foot of the St Abb’s Head National Nature Reserve and adjacent to the St Abbs and Eyemouth Voluntary Marine Reserve. The area is internationally important for its rugged landscape and wildlife, both above and below the waves.
Holy Island
Holy Island is cut off twice-daily from the rest of the world by fast-moving tides. Both an island and a picturesque village, Holy Island carries a wealth of history within its tidal walls. The island is the final destination of long distance walking route and one of Scotland’s Great Trails.
Alnwick
Twisting cobbled streets with an eclectic collection of individual shops are teamed with some of the country’s top attractions, including Alnwick Castle Dubbed the Windsor of the North, Alnwick Castle was the location for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films.
Kelso
Kelso is said to be the most architecturally attractive of the Border Towns, and it is easy to see why. The town is set within a bend in the River Tweed, and opposite its confluence with the River Teviot. At its heart lies the largest Market Square in Scotland, a large cobbled area that gives Kelso a distinctly continental feel.
Dunbar
The town of Dunbar is on the North Sea coast of East Lothian, about 30 miles east of Edinburgh. The town is renowned for its high sunshine record, rugged coastline and attractive countryside. It is steeped in history and was one of the most important Scottish Fortresses in the middle ages.
